MEET OUR FOUNDER

CRISTIAN A. RODRIGUEZ

FOUNDER

Cristian Andres Rodriguez is a registered Patent Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and the founder of Rotek Law, a firm specializing in patent and trademark law. With a strong foundation in mechanical engineering and a passion for intellectual property law, Cristian helps inventors and businesses navigate the complexities of patent protection, focusing on innovative technologies and mechanical devices.

Before founding Rotek Law, Cristian gained extensive experience in patent law, managing patent applications, conducting prior art searches, and drafting detailed patent documentation. His litigation experience spans commercial and civil matters, and he developed his skills in appellate advocacy during his tenure with Florida’s Third District Court of Appeal.

Cristian holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, cum laude, from Florida International University, and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from St. Thomas University College of Law, where he graduated in the top 20% of his class. He was a Research Assistant in trademark law and digital assets and authored a paper on artificial intelligence in medical device monitoring, published in the St. Thomas Law Review.

In addition to his legal practice, Cristian serves as an Adjunct Professor at St. Thomas University Benjamin L. Crump College of Law, teaching Innovations and Patent Management. This position allows him to mentor future IP professionals while staying at the forefront of developments in the field.
